Lucy and Trev will be in the tub. I’ll get Lucy out and look back at Trev and he’s got what looks like ½ the bottle of shampoo on his head saying, “I’m washing my hair!” (I’m so happy that he’s taking the initiative to be so independent, but it sure takes a while to get all that out!)
I’ll be busy doing something and Lucy will rush into me with a question or wanting me to see something, and if I say I’ll do it after I’m done she’ll say, “That is not as important right now mom! This is more important!”
Trevan has always loved animals and acting them out. It’s so funny when he pretends to be a lion or tiger because he’ll open his mouth like he’s going to do a loud roar, but instead he makes like this pretend lion sound that’s softer like in the back of his throat like he will really scare you if he made it loud like it should be.
Lucy will tell me something the way she thinks it should have gone, but if I correct her and say it didn’t happen that way then she’ll say, “Mom, mom…I remember short stuff, and you remember long stuff, so I don’t think you know.” She’ll continue later saying, “Isn’t that funny that I remember the short stuff and you the long stuff?” (Like I have the short term memory loss and she has the long term.)
Trevy’s favorite thing to do is snuggle. He’ll always say, “I’ll snuggle you!” or “I want to snuggle you!” Gabe always calls him a “Mamma’s boy” because he always says, “It’s Mommy’s turn to put me to bed” even if our “Night Night Chart” show that it’s Daddy’s and I should be putting Lucy to bed. The up side to it is that he rarely has any accidents in the night because every time he runs in our room to snuggle in the night I get him to the bathroom first to be sure those accidents don’t happen! Yeah, I let him be little and sleep in the middle right now – once his little brother comes things probably won’t be the same!
